THE STORY

Kate wakes from a two-and-a-half-year coma in a rotting Texas hospice to learn her fiancé Ben is dead, her friends blame her for the accident that killed him, and she can't remember a single thing about the night that destroyed all of their lives. Desperate, broke, and out of time, she invokes the Draugr — an ancient entity that can raise the dead — and seals the deal in blood. But death always collects, and the price is due before dawn.
